My name is Martin Skelton and my role as Manager at Mind is to provide a range of services to enable people with a kaleidoscope of mental health issues to cope with their conditions and develop their own mechanisms to sustain wellness. We do this through therapeutic and socialisation based services and activities.
Outside of this role I have gone through a range of personal development processes which has enabled me to work as an individual providing key strategies for an extensive spectrum of conditions.
I have worked in frontline mental health management for 10 years and have an eclectic range of skills which are based around developing people's therapeutic coping skills to deal with a range of complex mental health and work based issues. I am keen to help enable individuals who hold positions which require them to deal with difficult and critical processes and who work in pressured environments to generate coping mechanisms to enable them to establish a clear cognitive pathway to be both successful and content in their lives and workplace.
My skill set is based on clear therapeutic and moralistic values and my experience in both management and eclectic therapeutic processes enable insight and empathy for clients from a wide range of backgrounds; including academic, business, health, public and private industries.
I specialise in anxiety and depression based issues which have become barriers to personal, family and work life. I can offer brief or extended interventions which increase and develop emotional resilience.
An assessment will be carried out over an initial one and a half hour session at a cost of £50 with future one to one sessions at £45. I also work with a range of excellent therapists and may promote their expertise to provide any interventions outside of the work I deliver.
