Support for vulnerable customers and NHS

To help make sure our most vulnerable customers get access to the support they need as quickly as possible; NatWest and Royal Bank have set up dedicated customer care lines aimed specifically at customers most in need, including those over 70, who don’t have access to digital channels. The new Companion Card has also been introduced– a supplement to existing current accounts that will enable vulnerable customers and those in extended isolation to give trusted volunteers a way to pay for their essential goods. There is also an emergency customer care line for NHS workers – for NatWest and Royal Bank.

Shielding

The Government has updated its guidance for people in England who are shielding - please visit GOV.UK to read what has changed.

There is different guidance about shielding for people living in ScotlandWales and Northern Ireland.

If you are receiving food deliveries via the National Shielding Service, these will now be stopped. This will not affect your eligibility for a supermarket priority delivery slot or any slots you already have in place.

If you are struggling to access food or essentials, please visit www.gov.uk/find-coronavirus-support to get information on the range of support options available. If you need urgent help and have no other support, please contact North East Lincolnshire Council on (01472) 313131 option 0. If you need help getting your medicine delivered please contact NHS Volunteer Responders on 0808 196 3646 (8am to 8pm).
